We are committed to creating safe, respectful and inclusive environments where children and young people are protected from harm and their voices are valued

Bric Housing Child Safety Charter of Commitment

Bric Housing is committed to the safety, wellbeing and dignity of all children and young people who interact with our organisation, our services, our properties, our people and our activities.

We believe that every child and young person has the right to feel safe, respected, included and heard. We have zero tolerance for child abuse, neglect, exploitation, harm, bullying, discrimination or any behaviour that places a child or young person at risk

While children and young people are not the primary focus of our services, we recognise that they are part of the communities we serve and that everyone at Bric has a role in helping to keep them safe.

  • Listen to, respect and encourage the voices of children and young people.
  • Foster environments that are welcoming, inclusive and culturally safe for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
  • Respect and support diversity, ensuring all children and young people are treated with dignity and equity.
  • Recruit, screen, train and support our workers to understand their child safety responsibilities.
